Death

MIDLAND - Sarah Joyce Hinson Hasty, died Sunday, March 4, 2007, at Universal Health Care. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Midland, with the Rev. Bill Mobley officiating. Burial will be at Howell's Baptist Church Cemetery, Concord. Mrs. Hasty was born Oct. 18, 1921, the daughter of the late Henry Jackson Hinson and the late Carrie Mae (Furr) Hinson. She was a homemaker and a member of Howell's Baptist Church. Mrs. Hasty was preceded in death by her husband, James Doyet Hasty; a son, Weldon Hasty; and eight sisters. Survivors include a daughter, Geraldine (Hasty) Haigler of Midland; son, Willie Marnell Hasty of Mint Hill; brother, Henry Hinson of Mount Holly; sisters, Renilda Morgan and Arwilda Williams both of Locust and Blanche Harvell of Midland; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
