Athens Lamar Furr, Sr. 82, passed away Saturday, July 14th at his home, Country Living Care in Lawtey, FL. He was a member of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Starke, FL. He leaves to mourn a host of friends and staff of Country Living Care; devoted friend, Mattie Lou Perry; devoted caregiver, Turosia Evette Bright; his physician, Dr. Joell Simon and staff of E&M Medical in Starke, FL. Funeral services in celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 18th at Jacksonville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL. Friends will gather in the chapel prior from 12:30-2:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Garden of the Last Supper at Jacksonville Memory Gardens.Florida Times-Union, Jacksonville, Florida, July 17, 2007
