Death
Eva Idell Furr Barbee, 86, of 3901 Pine Leaf Circle, Midland, died at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 1995, in Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. Her funeral will be at 4 p.m. today in St. Stephens Wesleyan Church. The Rev. Bill Flinchum and the Rev. Mark Helms will officiate and burial will be in Center Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Born Sept. 4, 1908, in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late Adam Frank Furr and was a homemaker. She was a member of Center Grove United Methodist Church. Her husband, Roy William Barbee, preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, R.W. Barbee, Jr., of Midland and Frank Barbee of Concord; three daughters, Irene Cambell and Betty Stewart, both of Concord, and Wilma Clontz of Midland; a sister, Edith Green of Stanfield; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, July 13, 1995
