Death
Sheri Powell Self, 58, of Greenville, formerly of Childress, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. A memorial service is to be held at a later date. Born on Sept. 4, 1949, in Childress, Mrs. Self was the daughter of James Cope and Billie Furr Cope. She married Floyd Self who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Methodist church. Survivors include her mother, Billie Kain; daughters Heather Russell and Courtney Brook Reeves; sisters Debbie Powell Rubin, Lisa Powell Watts, and Susan Powell Martinez; grandchildren Chelsea Elliott, Will Brister, Lydia Parson, and Cassandra Russell; and dear friend John Mattorachia.
