Death

John W. Furr, 68, of Springboro passed away Friday, October 14, 2016 in Springboro PA. He was born in California May 23, 1948 to the late Roy and Willowdean (Cauldwell) Furr. He married Joyce Stevens on June 21, 1969. She survives. He was an auto mechanic most of his life. He enjoyed fixing friends and neighbors automobiles, lawn mowers or chainsaws. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a hunter and fisherman, and also an animal lover. He was a Navy Veteran, serving a four year term. John is survived by three sons, Steven, Eric, and Roger Furr (wife Melissa) all of Springboro; two grandchildren, Kacie Furr and Dakota Ochs; three brothers, Daniel and Lynne Furr, Doug and Mary Frances Furr, and Vernon Furr, three sisters, Gloria Shafer, Patsy and Dee Buchanan, and Valerie Daniels; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service to be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the funeral home at 5:00 PM. Pastor Bob Klingler will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to McCauley Funeral Home 1405 Main St. Conneautville, PA 16406.
