HOLLIS COUPLE KILLED IN TWO-VEHICLE COLLISON Two others trasported to hospital A Hollis couple was killed in a two-vehicle wreck Wednesday afternoon in Perry County. According to an Arkansas State Police report, Lawrence Humphrey, 76, and Nina Humphrey, 69, were traveling north on Highway 7 South 1.5 miles north of the Garland County line in a 1988 Ford Tempo when their vehicle collided head-on with a 2002 Ford Explorer occupied by Vance B. Rolllins, 57, and Molly Langford, 47, both of Hot Springs. The report noted the Explorer, driven by Rollins, crossed the center line around 4:52 PM and struck the Tempo, driven by Humphrey. The Humphreys were pronounced dead at the scene. Rollins and Langford were transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Hot Springs.

Lawrence Humphrey, 76, of Hollis died Wednesday, May 22, 2006, in Hollis with his wife, Nina Humphrey. He was born Sept. 29, 1929, at Hollis to Walter Charles and Mayme Blythe Humphrey. He was an Army veteran, a retired electrician at Saint Joseph Hospital, and a member and deacon of Grace Apostolic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a borhter, Dwight Humphrey; a sister, Dovie Smith; and grandson, Jerry Don Humphrey Jr.Endnotes
