Death

Funeral services for Juell B. Moak, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive, with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Moak, 87, died May 1, 2011, at Brookmanor Nursing Home. She was born in Little Rock, Ark. on July 14, 1923, to Walter L. Barksdale and Mittie Furr Barksdale. She was a housewife and member of First Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors are her husband, Zack Moak of Brookhaven; her daughters, Sue Netherland and her husband, Jerry; and Ann Moak, all of Brookhaven; her grandchildren, Julie Netherland Cooper and her late husband, Kevin Joseph Cooper; and Katy Netherland Nevels and her husband, Scott; her great-grandchildren, Michaela Katherine Cooper and Judson Levi Callender; her brother, Walter Rankin Barksdale of Houston, Tex.; her niece, Wendy Barksdale Moore of Hattiesburg; and her nephews Bill Barksdale, Kin Barksdale, Wayne Barksdale and Wayde Lee Barksdale, all of Houston.
