Death
CONCORD, N.C. — Mrs. Margaret Cochran Furr, 88, of 4291 Roberta Road, Concord, died March 30, 1998, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday at Roberta Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Pennington officiating. Burial will follow in the Roberta Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Wilkinson Funeral Home and will be at the home the remainder of the time. Mrs. Furr was retired from Cannon Mills and was a member of Roberta Baptist Church. She was born in Cabarrus County on July 1, 1909 to the late Robert C. and Annie Dulin Cochran. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn E. Furr who died December 12, 1973. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Geneva F. Lefler of Concord and Mrs. Betty F. Lefler of Hamptonville, N.C.; one son, Mr. Gene Furr of Concord; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Hooks of Concord and Mrs. Edith Griggs of Charlotte; one brother, Mr. Budge Cochran of Concord; five grandchildren; four great-granchildren.
