Death

Vicky Diane Furr, 78, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026. She was born in Concord, NC on March 13, 1948, to Earnest and Vicenia Furr. She was preceded in death by her father, Earnest J. Furr and her mother, Vicenia M. Furr. Vicky is survived by her sister, Theresa A. Furr, of Canton, Ohio, as well as by her niece, Kimberly Luczynski, of Canton, Ohio. Vicky was known as an excellent nurse at Cape Fear Valley Hospital for many years. She will be missed by many friends, but for sure by her only sibling, Theresa Furr, who was the beloved caregiver for her last 8 years of life. A funeral service will be held at 11:30am, Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home with Brother Larry Cjason officiating. Burial will follow the service at Lafayette Memorial Park. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:30am – 11:15am. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the Fayetteville Police Department, or the Fayetteville EMT/Fire Department, in Vicky’s honor.
