Death

Susan Lorraine Shue, 61 years of age, of New London, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord. Mrs. Shue was born October 1, 1955 in Carbarrus County to J. Dois Furr and the late Peggy Joyce Foster. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jay Douglas Furr. Susan was an employee of the Stanly Community College Library. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 4:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Lowell Brown. Burial will follow at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at 22182 Canton Road in Albemarle. Survivors include husband, Wayne Shue of the home; son Johnathan Rhodes and wife Jennifer of Norwood; sisters, Joyce Graves and family, Bonnie Lovins and family, Deloris Lambert and family; brother, Earl Furr and family; stepsons, Wayne Jr., Randy, and Tim and their families; 13 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren Memorials may be made to Friends of Stanly County Animals, 1803 Arbor Way, Albemarle, NC  28001. Hartsell Funeral Home is serving the Shue family.
