ALBEMARLE — Jay Douglas “Doug’’ Furr, 30, of 18519-A Tyson Road, died at 2.48 pm Wednesday, Nov 25, 1992 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. He had been in declining health for some time. The funeral was to be at 2 pm today at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Concord, conducted by the Rev. Don Davis. Burial was to be at Carolina Memorial Park, Concord. Born Dec 7, 1961, in Concord, Furr was a son of J Dois Furr of Albemarle and Peggy Joyce Foster Gainey of Kannapolis. Last employed as a mechanic for Albemarle Honda, he was a US Army veteran. Survivors in addition to his parents, include his wife, Debbie Jean Ingold Furr, three brothers, Earl Furr of Concord, Lain Gainey of Kannapolis and Jason Furr of Albemarle, and six sisters, Joyce Graves of Salisbury, Susan Shue of New London, Bonnie Johnson and Deloris Lambert both of Stanfield, and Ashley and Amber Furr. both of Albemarle.
