Death

Jimmy "Bobo" Furr, 62, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Jimmy was born May 9, 1957 in Stanly County to the late James Croson Furr and the late Emily Almond Furr. He was also preceded in death by brother-in-law, Steve Hyatt. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Oakboro United Methodist Church, 405 N. Main Street in Oakboro officiated by Rev. Gene Moore. Burial will follow at the Oakboro Cemetery at 1397 N. Main Street in Oakboro. Survivors include wife, Diane Furr of Albemarle; step-daughter, Jerri "Missy" Morgan of Stanfield; grandson, Christopher Morgan of Stanfield; great grandsons, Korbin and Grayson Rushing of Monroe; sister, Melody Furr Hyatt of Peachland; nephews, Ryan Hyatt of Waxhaw and Luke Hyatt of Peachland; and six great-nephews. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Furr family.
