Johnny Lee Furr also known as "Shag" was a cherished Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. He passed away at Randolph Health on March 5th 2025 at the age of 70. His departure at Randolph Health leaves a profound sense of loss in all the hearts that knew and loved him. Johnny was born on February 2nd 1955 in Pinehurst NC to Ruby Lee Furr & Bernie G. Campbell. He spent his early years in Asheboro, NC where he went to school at Asheboro High School. Throughout his life he worked various jobs. His jobs consisted of traveling with a carnival, working at BB Walkers, Dixie Furniture, and Oliver Rubber where he then became disabled. Johnny enjoyed riding his three-wheeler, which he passionately called "The Green Monster". He loved Nascar and enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was an avid Minnesota Viking fan and a proud cancer survivor. He was preceded in death by his parents, His loving partner of many years, Ms. Gene Goodnight. His brother Clifton G. Campbell, Sisters Ruby Tilda Campbell & Teresa Faye Jackson. His nieces Raechelle Lenora Medlin and Stephanie Yvette Adkins. His favorite Cousin Avery Latham and many more loving relatives. He is survived by his loving sons, Travis Lee Furr (Ruby Davis), Stephen Daniel Furr (Sabrina Furr), His loving Grandchildren, Travis Laughlin, Brandon Laughlin, Sabbath Laughlin, Helana Furr, Michael Furr, Heaven Furr, and Great Grandson Maverick Millikan. They will carry on his legacy of love and kindness. He is also survived by his siblings with whom he loved dearly. Sisters, Nora Campbell (Randy Miller), Debbie Russell (Terry Russell) and Brothers, Jesse Campbell and Bernie Campbell Jr. and many Nieces and Nephews. Also, a loving dog named Casper. Johnny's boundless love will forever remain in the hearts of those he left behind, may his soul rest in eternal peace.
