Death
CONCORD — Earnie Carter Furr, 92, formerly of Bost Cut Off Road, died Thursday (Sept. 28, 1995) at Mount Pleasant Village. Born July 24, 1903, in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Furr was a daughter of the late Jones E. and Esther Troutman Carter. She was a homemaker and member of Young Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband James I. Furr. Survivors include daughter Elizabeth F. Hinson, Concord; sisters Helen Kerr and Edith Killian, both of Hickory, Marie Lentz, Salisbury, and Neavonne Wensil, Rockwell; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great- grandchildren. Services: 3 pm. Sunday, Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. J.D. Hinson and the Rev. Robert Wensil. Burial in Carolina Memorial Park. Visitation: 6-7:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The rest of the time, the family will be at the home of daughter Elizabeth F. Hinson, 44 Plott Drive.
