Death
Donald Monroe Furr Mr. Furr, 80, of Charlotte, a native and life long resident of North Carolina, passed away on February 4, 2008 at Sardis Oaks after a long illness. He was born on March 28, 1927 in Wilmington, NC, a son of the late Harold and Nancy Teeter Fink. He was a graduate of Lees-McRae College and had served in the US Army in Germany in WWII. Mr. Furr had been employed as an engineer by Western Electric Co. and eventually retired from Duke Power. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Mary Fink Furr. A service by the graveside will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, today, February 9, 2008 at Carolina Memorial Park in Concord, with the Reverend Dr. Larry Watts officiating.
