Death
CLINTON — Helen Osborne Furr, 80, of Whitmire Highway, died Saturday, July 1, 1995, in the Laurens County Hospital after an illness. She was born in Gainesville, Ga., a daughter of the late Thomas Dillard and Julia Mae Osborne. Mrs. Furr was a retired employee of Belk of Clinton, a member of the First Baptist Church, and the Workman Sunday school class. Survivors include her husband, Olin Furr Sr.; two sons, O. Fayrell Furr Jr. of Myrtle Beach and Robert Furr of Boca Raton, Fla; a daughter, Ada Freeman of Clinton; a brother, Thomas Osborne of Greenville; two sisters, Hassie Hammett of Greenwood and Jessie Murphy of Powdersville; eight grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. The family will receive friends 7- 9 p.m. today at the Gray Funeral Home of Clinton. The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church.
