Death

Mr. David Lee Furr, 41, of Rural Hall, died at his home early Thursday morning. He was born December 1, 1951 in Concord to Glenn Morris Furr and Ruby Freeman Furr. Mr. Furr had been employed as a driver for Leaseway Motorcar Transport and had served in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Barbara Styers Furr of the home; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond E. (Ruby) Williams of Mocksville; one brother, Richard Furr of Lexington; two sisters, Mrs. Janet Perry of Thomasville and Mrs. Glenda Meadows of Mocksville and his step grandmother, Mrs. Beulah Furr of Concord. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Vogler and Sons Reynolda Road Chapel. The Rev. Todd Byrd will officiate. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
