Death

Justine A. Zapalac, 90 entered into eternal rest on March 5, 2014. Born in Ellinger, TX., preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Johanna Havel and her husband of 59 years, Edwin Zapalac. She is survived by four children, daughter Cynthia Furr and husband Pat Furr Sr., Glenn Zapalac, Donald Zapalac and wife Pamela, Duane Zapalac and wife Charla. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Justine was a member of the KJZT and SPJST Lodge 88 and former member of a Cancer Support group. She and Edwin were active church members and Eucharist Ministers at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church and Epiphany of the Lord in Katy and were charter members of St. Jerome's Catholic Church. A Rosary is requested for Justine at your convenience. Special thanks to her caregivers at Solera along with Resolutions Hospice. Visitation will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 7:30 pm in The Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Frwy. Funeral Mass will be Monday, March 10, 2014 at 10:30 am at St. Jerome's Church, 8825 Kempwood, Houston. Entombment will follow in the afternoon at Holy Cross Cemetery.
