Death

MOUNT PLEASANT - Marie Furr Cauble, 88, of Bridge Rd. Mount Pleasant, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at her residence. Funeral service will be 4 p.m. on Friday at Oak Grove United Methodist Church May 7, 2010 officiated by Rev. Ervin Houser and Rev. Kevin McCormick, burial will be in the church cemetery. Terry Cauble, Chad Cauble, Jeremy Cauble, Steve Cauble, Travis Cauble and Sean Cross will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Thursday May 6, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gordon Funeral Home of Mount Pleasant. Mrs. Cauble was born in Stanly County on Feb. 6, 1922 to the late Luther Farrington Furr and Esther Lambert Furr. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, and enjoyed cooking, fishing, and camping/RV'ing. She is preceded in death by her husband JW Cauble, one son Tony Wayne Cauble, and two grandchildren Beverly Dawn Huneycutt and Renee Cauble Mrs. Cauble is survived by her six sons, John Cauble and wife, Jeanne, of Midland, Jerry Cauble and wife, Brenda, of Mount Pleasant, Sam Cauble and wife, Gail, of Soddy Daisy Tenn., Dolan Cauble and wife, Sandra, of Mount Pleasant, Tim Cauble and wife, Natalie, of Mount Pleasant, Terry Cauble and wife, Robyn, of Mount Pleasant; two half sisters, Doris Morgan and Mae Morgan both of Richfield; and 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. Special thanks to Holly Jarrett for her care during Mrs. Cauble her declining health.
