Death
Quina Bassett Stringer Furr of Pensacola died Friday, March 6, 1992, in a local hospital. Mrs. Furr was a native of Alabama and a former resident of Natchez, Miss. She had lived the past 22 years in Pensacola. Mrs. Furr was a member of the Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelton W. Furr and a son-in-law, Paul B. Rigsby. Survivors include a daughter, Billie Joyce Rigsby of Pensacola; a grandson and grand daughter-in-law, Randy and Gloria Rigsby of Pensacola; and a great-granddaughter, Amanda Gayle Rigsby of Pensacola. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 9, 1992, in Oak Lawn Chapel with the Rev. John Bryan, the Rev. Bruce Gage, the Rev. Larry Anderson and the Rev. Warren Lindsay officiating. Burial will be in Pensacola Memorial gardens. Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Pallbearers will be Charles Polk, Lloyd Lee, James Bryant, Raul Saenz, Dr. Don Colley and Jim Wiliams. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Shaw, Dr. Charles Kahn, Earl Crona, Ed Rigsby, Roy Williams, Dr. Allen Patton, Bernie Rubel, Lloyd Lee, Al Taylor, Dr. Robert Harbour, Jack Roller, Floyd Dartch and Joe Maceluch.Pensacola News Journal, Pensacola, Florida, March 8, 1992
