Patricia Eileen PHILLIPS
(25 Dec 1941 - 17 Sep 1987)
Mrs. Patricia Furr, 24, of 1637 Overlook dr., was listed in ‘‘serious” condition Friday in Mercy Hospital’s intensive care unit with a gunshot wound of the right shoulder. Police, summoned to the residence at 1:10 a.m, Friday, called the Fire Division emergency squad. She was found lying on the floor halfway out of her bedroom with a .38 caliber revolver nearby. A possibility exists that the bullet wound was self-inflicted, but police Friday continued to check other leads surrounding the incident. Her husband, Marine Sgt. Leon W. Furr, is currently stationed in Viet Nam and is slated to return stateside within the year, police reported.
