Death
WATERLOO — Jacqueline Sapp Furr Childs, 75, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The Rev. Edwin Dillard and the Rev. Jim Berry will officiate. Burial will follow at Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Morris Sapp, Buddy Sapp, Damon Lowder, Dewayne Cleveland, Richard Page, Jerry Wiggins, Michael Wyatt and Larry Cone will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Childs was born on Dec. 11, 1930 in Tift County. She was the daughter of John Kelly Sapp and Carrie Luke Sapp, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, James M. Furr Sr., and her second husband, W.A. Childs Jr. She was a member of Waterloo Baptist Church and was retired from Irwin Manufacturing Company in Ocilla as a cutting room supervisor. Survivors include four sons, Jerry K. Furr of Jacksonville, Fla., James M. Furr of Snellville, Thomas W. Furr of Saint Augustine, Fla., and Robert Childs of Plant City, Fla.; three daughters, Judy Davis of Waterloo, Elizabeth Jane Cleveland of Waterloo and Nancy Marling of Mandarin, Fla.; a sister, Estelle Furr of Enigma; several grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.Endnotes
