Death
CONCORD - Jessie Belle Barbee Barbee, 94, of 3217 Trinity Church Road, died Monday, May 16, 2005, at NorthEast Medical Center. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. The funeral service will be Wednesday, at 3:30 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Concord. The Rev. R.J. Hammond will officiate. Burial will be at Roberta United Methodist Church Cemetery of Concord. Mrs. Barbee was born Jan. 4, 1911, in Cabarrus County a daughter of H.T. Barbee Sr. and Beadie Furr Barbee. She had been employed by Kyser-Roth as a pre-boarder, and was a member of Meadow Creek Primitive Baptist Church.The family meeting place will be the residence, 3217 Trinity Church Road, Concord, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband Grady Lee Barbee. Survivors include Nancy Barbee Dorton of Concord; brother, H.T. Barbee Jr. of Concord; sister, Helen Mesimer of Concord; grandchildren, Jeff Dorton of Concord, Penny Carawan of Kannapolis, and Scott Dorton of Davidson; and 10 great-grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord is serving the family of Mrs. Barbee.Endnotes
