Death
Rebecca “Becky” Loraine (Furr) Christian, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed from this life on May 10, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 72. Becky was born on January 15, 1953, in Perryton, Texas, to Lloyd and MaryLou (McCoy) Furr. She spent her early years in Derby, Kansas, before moving with her family to Seiling, Oklahoma, where she completed her education and graduated with the Seiling High School Class of 1971. On June 27, 1973, Becky married Vaughn Naegele at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in Wichita, Kansas, where Becky worked at the local bowling alley café, a rental agency, and Beach Aircraft. After her marriage to Vaughn ended, Becky met Bob Christian. Together, they lived in Houston, Texas, before settling in Dewey County, Oklahoma. In 1984, they were married in the family home in Taloga. Becky had a strong work ethic and a heart for service. She managed Dennis Quick Stop and later opened and operated the East Main Grill in Taloga, where she became known not only for her cooking but also for her hospitality and kindness. She also served her community as a volunteer EMT and had a deep love for animals, especially the many rescue pets she cared for over the years. Becky followed her passion for helping others by moving to Woodward, Oklahoma and pursuing a nursing career. She attended High Plains Vo-Tech and attained her goal of becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)gaining employment at the Woodward Hospital. In later years she returned to Taloga where she was a member of and attended the First Christian Church. Becky was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, and other loved ones. She is survived by her daughters, Rachel Wilson of Wichita, Kansas, and Ann-Marie Rector and husband Dallas of Vici, Oklahoma; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Cecelia Schroder of St. Louis, Missouri; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.Endnotes
