Death
Lloyd G. Furr, 68, of Leon, died Monday, Jan. 31, 1994, at Friendly Acres Retirement home in Newton. Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Leon Cemetery. He was born March 26, 1925, in Oklahoma. He lived in Leon since moving from Grove, Okla. in 1986. He retired from Rose Bowl East in Wichita as a bowling alley mechanic. During WW II he served in the U.S. Marine Corps. On July 3, 1970, he and Donna Maclean were married in Wichita. Survivors include: wife, Donna; daughters, Becky Christian of Taloga, Okla., Ceceilia Schroeder of St. Charles, Mo.; step-daughters, Denie Spurlock, Debbie Sauer, Dodie Harrison, all of Wichita; brother, Dale of Tempe, Ariz.; sisters, Karen Lomax of El Dorado, Joyce Rice of Overland Park, Darlene Stidham of Taloga, Melba Jo Robinson of Oklahoma City; 12 grandchildren.El Dorado Times, February 2, 1994
