Death
GRAHAM, Texas - Bobby J. Furr, 75, died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998, in a Graham hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kent Goree and the Rev. Steve Hill officiating. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery in Graham. Mr. Furr was born April 2, 1923, in Breckenridge, Texas. He and Lillie Meeks were married March 24, 1974, in Breckenridge. He had been a resident of Graham since 1973. He worked in the Sanitation Department for the city of Graham and had also worked in the oil fields in and around Young County, Texas. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Lucille Goree of Graham, Kay Kyle of Houston, Bonnie Blevins and Sonya Clayton, both of Newcastle, Texas, and Marilyn Furr of Graham; three sons, Bobby Joe Furr Jr. of Texarkana, Ark., and James and Virgil Whitney, both of Graham; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family will be at 1327 Johnny St.Times Record News, Wichita Falls, Texas, November 28, 2000
