Death
LEESVILLE — Services for Hugh E. Furr will be at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Hixson with the Rev. Aubrey Veuleman and W.H. “Bud” McCullough officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery, Anacoco. Furr, 65, of Anacoco died Monday, March 17, 1997, in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Alexandria. He was a native of Zwolle, a longtime resident of Anacoco/Vernon Parish and a retired oil field consultant. Survivors include his wife, Johnnie M. Furr of Anacoco; three daughters, Carol Culbertson of Texas City, Texas, Diane Solomon of Loveland, Colo., and Belinda Beck of Baltimore, Md.; one stepdaughter, Frances Weldon of Anacoco; his mother, Elma Veuleman Furr of Many; one sister, Pauline Coffey of Many; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Friends may call from 8 a.m. until time of services today in the funeral home.The Town Talk, Alexandria, Louisiana, March 19, 1997
