Death
Larry Lee Furr, 72, of Scranton, Arkansas passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Clarksville, Arkansas with his family by his side. He was born on December 10, 1953, in Long Beach, California to his parents, Floyd Raymond Furr and Mary “Maggie” (Wise) Fleming. Larry worked as a row crop farmer in Scott, Arkansas before retiring and was a veteran of the United States Army. He faithfully attended Dublin Freewill Baptist Church visiting with his church family and listening to the worship singing. Larry loved to tinker with old lawn mowers or any other item he thought he could fix, he enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, planting a vegetable garden or just spending time with his family and friends. He loved to tease them and have conversations with them that may at times break out into a friendly argument. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his, wife of 30 years, Memory Jay (Haynes) Furr; two brother, Phillip Furr and Lester “BO’ Fleming and a granddaughter, Baylee Jayde Young. He is survived by his son, Raymond Furr and wife, Susan of Scranton; daughters, Dawn Buchanan of Scranton, Barbara Killane and husband, Billy of Clarksville, Maggie Young and husband, Brandon of Russellville and Ashley Knee of Scranton; two brothers, Bobby Furr and wife, Renee of Scranton and Cecil Fleming and wife, Leslie of Scranton; five sisters, Charlotte Scheibner of Jacksonville, Theresa Ray of Cabot, Betty Sue Wilkins of Jacksonville, Margaret Jackson and husband, Jessie of Sherril and Loretta Fleming of Jacksonville; sister-in-law, Pamela Fleming of Scranton; grandchildren, Christopher Buchanan, Lacey Buchanan, Jacob Buchanan, Alexia Zarate, Alexis Parnell, Allie Parnell, Ember Furr, Draven Killane, Kadence Young and Eleanor Young; seven great grandchildren several nieces, nephews other family members and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Roller Funeral Home in Paris. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Roller Funeral Home in Paris, officiated by Bro. Shane Kasper. Burial will follow the funeral service at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris. Funeral service and arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Lester Fleming, Jr., Larry Fleming, Randy Furr, Gaylon Furr, Larry Wesley Furr and Cameron Dudash. Honorary pallbearers are his brothers, Bobby Furr and Cecil Fleming.Endnotes
