Mrs. Ruby Recer Furr, 86, of Farmersville. passed away Sunday, June 25, 2000, in Farmersville. She was born in Climax, Texas, to Thomas R. and Virginia Ann (Walters) Recer. She married Jack Furr in Richardson. Mrs. Furr was a beautician. She was a member of the United. Methodist Church in Pleasant Grove. Mrs. Furr is survived by three nephews, Clifford Recer of Cleburne, Jackie McMahan of Princeton, and Billy Ray Recer of Garland; two nieces, Wenona Carman of McKinney, and Loretta Akin of Garland; a host of great-nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Anne Meyer of McKinney. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Princeton with the Rev. Doyle Henderson Officiating. Visitation will be held from 7- 8:30 p.m., Monday, June 26, 2000, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.The Courier-Gazette, McKinney, Texas, June 26, 2000
