Death
Bernice Winona Grierson Furr, 74, 4004 Warrington Ave., Escatawpa, died Friday, Jan. 5, 1990, at Singing River Hospital. Born Jan. 24, 1915 in Jackson County, Mrs. Furr was a lifelong resident of the community and was a homemaker. She was a member of Escatawpa United Methodist Church, and was a member and past worthy matron of the Annie O’Neal chapter of Eastern Star of Moss Point. Survivors include her husband, Arthur Carl Furr of Escatawpa; one brother, Oliver Grierson of Escatawpa; two sisters, Elizabeth Harris of Escatawpa and Ruth Forehand of Panama City, Fla., and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation was held Saturday, Jan. 6, from 6-9 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. today, Jan. 7, at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ron Stanley officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery. Arrangements are by Holder-Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point.The Mississippi Press, Pascagoula, Mississippi, January 7, 1990
