Death

Carolyn Yost Furr, 77, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 13, 2019 from North East Medical Center. She was born February, 1, 1942 in Scott County MO, a daughter of the late A.C. Yost and Irene Bolin Yost. Also preceding her in death was her husband Hoyle J. Furr who passed in 1992 and one great grandchildren Jonathan Winecoff. Carolyn enjoyed decorating in her spare time as well as spending time with her wonderful grandchildren. Family members left to cherish her memory include her two daughters Daria Church of Kannapolis, and Felicia Winecoff of Kannapolis, her five grandchildren, Robert Marshall Winecoff, Zackery Taylor Winecoff, Brandon Glenn Winecoff, Breanna Leigh Church, Mackenzie Taylor Church and her three great grandchildren Haylea Winecoff and Jason Winecoff and Emmalyn Winecoff. She is also survived by her brother, Billy Yost and her sister, Erma Yost Hewett and four loving nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, May 17, 2019 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Garland Faw. The family will receive friends prior to the memorial service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, May 17, 2019 at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
