Death
ALBERMARLE — Gerald Wayne Furr, 24, of Rt. 3, Albemarle, died Wednesday in a Charlotte hospital. A native of Stanly County he was employed at a local furniture plant. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Laurel Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Bennie Carpenter and the Rev. Kemp Plowman. Burial will be in the cemetery at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Shirley Enos Furr; two sons, Victor and William of the home; his mother, Mrs. John R. Helms of Albemarle; and three stepsisters, Mrs. Vickie Honeycutt of Rt. 2, New London, Carolyn Helms and Johnnie Helms, both of Salisbury.The News and Observer, Raleigh, North Carolina, April 7, 1967
