Death
John Girault Furr Jr., 48, of 107 Palm Ave., Pass Christian, died Saturday at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport. The body will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Furr had been employed by Hancock Bank, Gulfport, for the past 24 years. He was an assistant auditor at the time of his death. He was a member of the Pass Christian Yacht Club and was a Methodist. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth Lorie Furr of Pass Christian; father, John G. Furr Sr. of Long Beach; a son, John (Jacques) Furr III of Pass Christian; two daughters, Miss Lorie Ann Furr and Miss Mary Suzette Furr, both of Pass Christian; a brother, Glenn Henri Furr of Houston, Texas, and a sister, Mrs. Edvige Furr Oliver of Huntsville, Ala. The family prefers donations be sent to the Salvation Army. Arrangements were handled by Edmond Fahey Funeral Home, Bay St. Louis.The Sun Herald, Biloxi, Mississippi, September 15, 1980
