Death
GRENADA - Frances Justice Furr, 85, formerly of West Point, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at her home. She was born Jan. 18, 1920. She was a retired history teacher at Grenada High School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the XYZ Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Junior Auxiliary. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Garner-Harper Funeral Home in Grenada with the Rev. Jim Matheny officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Survivors include one son, John Harold Furr Jr. of Houston; one daughter, Mary Grace Groce of Marietta, Ga.; two sisters, Carolyn Justice Cooper of West Point and Grace Evans Justice Millard of Brandon; six grandchildren, Jonathan Groce, Angela Furr Liles, Dr. Andrea Furr Lewis, Andrew Hicks, Alison Hicks and Edith Hicks. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Harold Furr, and a daughter, Frances Ann Hicks. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time today at the funeral home.Endnotes
