Death

Agnes Jobe Wright, 92, of Mountainburg died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at a local nursing home. She was a member of Pigeon Creek Free Will Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. “Boy” Wright. Survivors include two daughters, Nelda Watkins Marshall of Mountainburg and Lou Vaughan Furr of Gallatin, Tenn.; one sister, Juanita Powell of Antlers, Okla.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held March 2 at Pigeon Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Burial was held at Vaught Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. Pallbearers were Tim Watkins, Tom Watkins, Cedar Wright Furr, Tracy Brad Wright, Shaun Owen and Kelly Rogers. Honorary pallbearers were deacons of Pigeon Creek Freewill Baptist Church, Sid Eoff, Gerald Bailey, Ray Sims and Jimmy Rogers.
