Death

Mrs. Mary Milton Furr, widow of A.B. Furr, of 1916 East Independence Blvd. died December 25, 1980 in a local hospital. Mrs. Furr was born July 19, 1902 in Albemarle, N.C. She was a member of the Commonwealth United Methodist Church, Funeral services 11 a.m. Saturday at the Harry & Bryant Chapel in the Oaks conducted by Dr. Charles E. Page of the Commonwealth United Methodist Church with interment in Sharon Memorial Park. Mrs. Furr is survived by one son, James H. Furr of Charlotte; two granddaughters, Mrs. Cindy Tietsort and Mrs. Rhonda Johnson both of Charlotte, one grandson, Phil Furr of Fort Mill, S.C.; four great grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to the Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation, 320 South Tryon St. The family will receive friends at the Harry & Bryant Chapel, Friday evening from 7-8 p.m. Harry & Bryant Company is serving the family of Mrs. Furr.
