Death
KANNAPOLIS — Mrs. Mary Furr Honeycutt, 67, of 1309 N, Junniper St., died Friday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock at a Concord Nursing Home. She had been in declining health for the past five years, becoming seriously ill two weeks ago. Services will be held Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the North Kannapolis Methodist Church. Services will be conducted by the Rev. J. D. Harris, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Frank Hefner, former pastor, now of Gastonia. The body will be taken, to the home this afternoon at 3:30 where it will remain until the funeral. She was a native of Cabarrus County, daughter of the late Julius and Betty Furr. She was formerly employed by China Grove Mills and has made her home in Kannapolis for the past 15 years. She held her church membership at the North Kannapolis Methodist Church. She was a member of the Annie Harris Bible Class. Her husband, Jasper Honeycutt, died several years ago. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Hugh Gabriel of Winston Salem; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Morrison of Kannapolis; two brothers, W. T. Furr of Woodleaf and John E. Furr of Concord; one grandchild.
