Death
LANCASTER – Mrs. Peggy Ellis Threatt, 81, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 9, 1936, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late William Baxter Ellis and Aileen Morton Ellis Furr and was the wife of the late Millon Clyde Threatt. Mrs. Threatt loved the outdoors, reading and spending time with her family. She was a member of Eastern Star and Bethlehem Baptist Church. She looked forward to the times she spent with her church family. Mrs. Threatt is survived by a son, Millon Bradley 'Brad' Threatt and his wife, Shannon; three daughters, Janet Bratton of Pineville, Gaye Broughton and her husband, Ken, and Wendy Steele and her fiancé, Garon Keaton; a sister, Catherine Reid of Rock Hill, 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Threatt was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son-in-law, Daniel Bratton; a brother, Bobby Ellis; and a sister, Marian Honeycutt. The celebration of life funeral service for Mrs. Threatt will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at Bethlehem Baptist Church by the Revs. Jason Myers and Brad Threatt. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 10-11 a.m., in the Family Life Center; and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund, 1841 N. Rocky River Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
