CONCORD — Pearl Atwell Furr, 82, of 284 Kerr St., mother of Dr. Hal E. Furr of Salisbury, died at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 1991, at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Concord, conducted by Dr. David F. Morrow. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 tonight. Born Jan. 24, 1909, in Concord, Mrs. Furr was a daughter of the late Clark Alexander and Sina Campbell Atwell. She was retired from Concord Police Department where she served as a school crossing guard. She was a member of McGill Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors, in addition to a son, include her husband, K.C. Furr; another son, Kenneth C. Furr of Carolina Beach; and two grandchildren.The Salisbury Post, Salisbury, North Carolina, September 1, 1991
