Death
Stanfield. July 7. — Lewis Ray, the six-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Furr of Stanfield, died Wednesday morning, June 28, at 3:10 o’clock in an Albemarle hospital. He had been ill with colitis for a week. Funeral services for the child were held Wednesday afternoon at 5 o’clock at Love’s Grove church. Rev. Brooks Jerome conducted the services. The pallbearers were Fred Furr and Jarvis of Concord, Clifford and Clayton Furr of Stanfield. Nine cousins of the baby were the flowergirls. Interment was in the Love’s Grove cemetery. The baby is survived by his parents, two sisters and a brother.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, July 8, 1938
