Death
CONCORD — Mrs. Flora Catherine Furr Bergesen, 41, died Tuesday at her home, 1040 Royal Street, George Drive, Naperville, III. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel here, conducted by the Rev. Crawford A. White. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 10 a.m. until noon. Mrs. Bergesen was born in Statesville Aug. 5, 1933, daughter of Carl A. Furr of Concord and the late Blanch Current Furr. Her father was principal of Woodleaf School in Rowan County, prior to becoming superintendent of Cabarrus County Schools, and is presently retired. In addition to her father, survivors include her husband, John M. Bergesen; a son, John M. Bergesen Jr., and a daughter, Ruth C. Bergesen, both of the home; and a brother, Dr. Carl A.
