Death
CONCORD — Mrs. Carl A. Furr, 53, of Concord died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in Concord. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Dr. J. Malcolm Murchison, pastor, will officiate. Mrs. Furr was born in Rowan County, July 5, 1903. She was the former Blanche Current, daughter of the late Richard C. and vie Teague Current. She is survived by her husband, Carl A. Furr, superintendent of the Cabarrus County schools; one daughter, Flora Furr of Boston; one son, Carl A. Jr. of the home; one brother, Earl Current of Tayorsville; two sisters, Miss Jeanette Current of Rowan County, and Miss Ruth Current of Raleigh. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Concord.The Salisbury Post, Salisbury, North Carolina, April 11, 1957
