STODDARD, MAGDELINE LAVERNE FURR — age 66, of Oak Ridge, passed away Friday at her home. Secretary for Kern Memorial United Methodist Church, Oak Ridge. Present secretary of the Ostomy Society at Fort Sanders Hospital. Member of the Holston Conference Secretaries Association. Member of Robertsville Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: father, David DeWitt Furr, in 1954; mother, Addie Lillian Jones, in 1975; husband, Elkanah Raborn Stoddard, in 1955; sister, Louise Moore, in 1984. Survivors: daughters, Lillian Jacobson, Salt Lake City, Utah, Mrs. Gordon (Ellen) Rasmussen, Modesto, Calif., June Stephenson, Layton, Utah, Jimmie Smith, Mesa, Ariz.; sister, Mildred F. Stacy, Oak Ridge; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral service 2 p.m. Tuesday, Kern Memorial United Methodist Church, Rev. Cal Maas and Rev. Bill Morris officiating. Interment Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Valley Ridge Hospice or the American Cancer Association.
