Death
Funeral services for Jessie Morlan Furr, 84, of Rhea Mills, who died Tuesday at University Nursing Center, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with the Revs. Travis Maxwell and Ron Hathcoat officiating. Internment will be in Cottage Hill Cemetery with Turrentine- Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Furr was born Oct. 26, 1903, in Lancaster, Tenn., the daughter of Samuel Robinson and Cora Sterves Robinson, and married Clarence L. Furr on Nov. 23, 1923. She was a housewife and a member of the Rhea Mills Baptist Church. Survivors include four sons, Clarence Gerald Furr, Jack H. Furr and Ralph M. Furr, all of Rhea Mills, Richard Dale Furr of Hereford; daughter, Carolyn Ann Shaw of Denton; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ciarence L. Furr in 1984.The Courier-Gazette, McKinney, Texas, June 22, 1988
