Death

Services for Ernestine Madaline Furr, 77, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Harvey-Douglas Chapel with Bishop Robert Petersen officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Furr died June 4, 1999, in a local hospital following an extended illness. She was born Aug. 1, 1921, at Smithville, Texas, to Ernest and Ora Cockrill Litton. Married to M.R. "Curly" Furr June 11, 1938, at Austin, Texas, they moved here 25 years ago from Enid. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ladies Golf Association at Dornick Hills Country Club, Pink Ladies volunteers and several Bridge clubs. She is survived by her husband, of the home; a daughter, Barbara Furr, Santa Fe. N.M.; a sister, Doris Creamer, Fort Worth, Texas; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Bearers will be Gwynne W. Davidson, Huey Dixon, Ray London, Andrew Smith, Bobby Groomer and Arthur Eubank.
