Death
Mrs. Allie E. Furr, 85, of Alexandria died at 2:25 p.m. Monday in Rapides General Hospital. She was the widow of James R. Furr and a native of Fordyce, Ark. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Berlan F. Hargis of Alexandria; a brother, Dewey H. Haynie of Little Rock; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Scribner of Benton, Ark., Mrs. Jean Sturdivant of Little Rock, Mrs. Ola Warnack and Mrs. Dovie Coston of Shreveport, and one granddaughter. Services will be held in the chapel of Hixson Bros., Alexandria, at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Schuyler Batson officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.The Town Talk, Alexandria, Louisiana, November 2, 1976
