Death

Helen Furr Hall, 79, of Sanford died Thursday (May 19, 2005) at Duke Medical Center in Durham. A memorial service was held at Sanford First Baptist Church Chapel on Saturday, May 21, conducted by the Rev. Eric Porterfield. Mrs. Hall was born in Fort Smith, Ark., to the late Willard Furr and Ada Moore Furr. She was a member of Sanford Baptist Church, where she was active in her Sunday school class. She enjoyed spending time with her dog Polly. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Hall Walker and husband Allen, of Washington, Colleen Hall Campbell and husband Robby, of Sanford; brother Gene Watson, of Bonlee; sister Ada Mae Scotten, of Siler City; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Arrangements have been made by Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home in Sanford.
