Death
Funeral services for Mrs. P. E. Furr, 72, who died Saturday at the Methodist Home in Durham, will be held today at 3:30 p.m. from the Brown-Wynne Funeral Home with Dr. Howard P. Powell and the Rev. Vernon C. Tyson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood. Mrs. Furr was a lifelong resident of Raleigh, a member of Edenton Street Methodist Church, and is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bryan G. Davis and Mrs. Dorothy Hatcher, both of Raleigh; one son, Major William W. Furr of Lafayette, Ind.; one brother, Hal S. Kimbell of Chattanooga, Tenn., and six grandchildren.The News and Observer, Raleigh, North Carolina, December 11, 1960
