Death
Mary Boone Kennedy, 90, of 3680 Lakeland Lane, a former teacher, died of heart failure Thursday at Lakeland Nursing Center. Graveside services are 2 p.m. today at Pontotoc Cemetery. Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Mrs. Kennedy was a Pontotoc native and the daughter of the late William Alexander and Celma Furr Boone. She received a bachelor’s degree from the former Mississippi State College for Women, now Mississippi University for Women. Mrs. Kennedy taught school in Yazoo City, Gulfport and Birmingham, where she was married to the late Wymon O. Kennedy. She moved to Jackson in 1978, where she was a member of Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church, the Ben Fatheree Sunday school class and United Methodist Women. Survivors include: brothers, Howard E. Boone Sr. of Jackson and James G. Boone of Memphis.Soc Sec No
