Death
Mrs. Jasper R. Dennis, 44, of route 1, Albemarle, died Saturday at 1:15 p.m. in the Stanly County Hospital after an illness of six years. Funeral rites were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Church of God of which she was a member. The body lay in state in the church for 30 minutes prior to the services. Rev. D. H. Delk had charge, assisted by Rev. Dock Roberson. Burial was in Fairview Memorial Park. The former Miss Cora Furr, daughter of the late W. M. M. and Dora Morgan Furr of Stanly County, Mrs. Dennis is survived by her husband, one brother, Henry W. Furr of Albemarle; one sister, Miss Naomi Furr of route 1, Albemarle; and one half-sister, Mrs. John Doby of Albemarle.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, October 7, 1958
